Researchers from North Carolina State University and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University recently published the manuscript “Can societal and ethical implications of precision microbiome engineering be applied to the built environment? A systematic review of the literature.” Headed by lead author, graduate student and current PreMiEr scholar Andrew Hardwick, the team of researchers from PreMiEr’s innovative Societal and Ethical Implications core reviewed the literature to analyze the ethical implications of engineering built environment microbiomes.
