The Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University recently recognized two PreMiEr faculty for achievements in education.
Dr. Holly Leddy, PreMiEr’s Co-Director for Engineering Workforce Development and Outreach, was honored with the Dean’s Award for Community-Based Innovation. This award recognizes faculty or staff with a sustained record of excellence in research, teaching, and/or service to achieve one or more of the Duke Engineering goals for community engagement: to foster real-world impact that responds to community needs, to provide meaningful learning experiences that create authentic connections in the community, and/or to nurture youth interest in STEM subjects and careers.
Dr. Daniel Reker was also honored with the Klein Family Distinguished Teaching Award. This award is provided to faculty who inspire students to learn and apply knowledge, engage students in the classroom and share their love of engineering.
Congratulations to Drs. Leddy and Reker!
