N.C. A&T PreMiEr Faculty and Scholars at ISEMPH
PreMiEr researchers from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (N.C. A&T) were well represented at the annual meeting of the International Society for Evolution, Medicine & Public Health (ISEMPH) recently held at the Beckman Center in Irvine, CA. Associate Director Dr. Joseph Graves Jr. delivered the keynote address on the topic of “Embedded racism: A critical yet neglected health determinant in evolutionary medicine.” PreMiEr scholar Dr. Mizpha Fernander and N.C. A&T faculty member Dr. Misty Thomas both presented their research concerning microbial adaptations to environmental factors.
