PreMiEr Industry Summit

On November 6th and 7th, 2024, PreMiEr was pleased to host its inaugural Industry Summit at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center in Research Triangle Park.  We welcomed nearly 60 PreMiEr faculty and scholars, Industry Members, representatives from non-profits and government, and non-member industries interested in our work engineering the microbiomes of the built environment to improve human health.

The first day featured talks and discussions with PreMiEr faculty and scholars, PreMiEr Industry Members, and other attendees. A number of PreMiEr scholars also presented their research during a poster session, which was judged by members of PreMiEr’s Industry Practitioner Advisory Board (IPAB). A second, half day was used to break into small groups for discussions on practices of working on microbiomes of the built environment with the goal of creating a white paper.
